Time goes by so quickly. Only seven days left until Christmas. Thankfully I have my Christmas shopping done, as I came down with strep throat again. I admit that I feel lousy, but that hasn’t stopped me from making the season a little brighter for children in need in my community.

Monday night Shawn and I dropped off some stuffed animals and toys for the annual Professional Firefighters Association Christmas toy drive .

My elbow looks like Popeye’s elbow.

I have been experiencing some pain and swelling around the tip of my elbow since my fall on the stairs 4 weeks ago. I went last week for an x-ray to make sure I didn’t break any thing. Today the results came back and the Dr. said I had water on the elbow. So of course like most things I Googled water on the elbow, but wouldn’t you have it there is little information via Google about water on the elbow .

Last night my family and I attended the Mix97 Morning Crew Prime Time Special at The Empire Theatre. The holiday special included performances from Low Level Flight, Divine Brown, Katelyn Dawn, and The Raynes.

For those of you who don’t know: Divine Brown is a a Canadian R&B singer best known for her 2005 song “Old Skool Love.” Katelyn Dawn is a Canadian singer/songwriter and this years Canadian Idol winner. You might know “The Raynes” (Shade Stone and Cliff McPherson) for their song “The Promise.” Ryan Malcolm, the first winner of Canadian Idol, formed the band Low Level Flight.

For the past two months I have put off blogging about this. However, this is an important issue that needs to be addressed. At this festive time of year there are many folks who rush out and purchase a puppy for their children.

Instead of purchasing a pet for Christmas wait and purchase after the holidays and before you purchase that puppy make sure that you know where that puppy is coming from. There are many folks who are unaware of the cruel industry known as puppy mills.

On Saturday, we had  Mya’s photos taken by Susan Dall. Susan is well known throughout the Quinte area for her photography. The proceeds from the photos went to canine cancer research.

It will be Christmas, December 25,  in 25 days. Can you believe that? Where did the time go?

I have been so busy that I haven’t had much time to blog. Thursday night we  got into the festival season and put up our Christmas Tree.
